GABU Heindl Architecture is specialized in architectural concepts and realisations of public, cultural and social
buildings as well as urban design projects and urban research.
Gabu Heindl publishes in architectural journals like JAE, Umbau, Volume, dérive, et al.; Books: Arbeit Zeit Raum.
Bilder und Bauten der Arbeit im Postfordismus (turia+kant, 2008), position everyday – architecture in the
context of everyday life (HDA Verlag, 2009). Since 2007 she is lecturer at the Institute for Art and Architecture,
Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, before at TU Graz, TU Delft and at the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam.
From 2001 to 2003 design architect at Diller + Scofidio in New York and at de Architekten Cie. in
Amsterdam.
Studies of Architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, at Geidai University in Tokyo and Postgraduate
Master of Architecture and Urban Design (as a Fulbright Scholar) at Princeton University, USA.
